Oakridge, Oregon, 1994 PM10 Saturation Monitoring Study
Monitoring & Data Analysis Section Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority Eugene, OR. July, 1995
Introduction
The Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority conducted a PM10 saturation
monitoring study in Oakridge, Oregon, during February, 1991. That 1991
study concluded that the west end of the Oakridge area was subject to
episodes of PM10 concentrations even higher than that being measured at
the permanent monitoring station located at the edge of the Willamette
Activity Center ball field ("WAC", ODEQ ID: 2030003, AIRS ID: 410392013).
The study concludes that "because high PM10 levels were also recorded
at Saint Luke's Church and Cline Street, it may be valuable to additionally
monitor air quality at one of these locations... Saint Luke' Church is
preferable as it is farther from the present monitoring site. In addition
it has the highest mean PM10 concentration of all sites in the study and
the highest design value calculated from the Tail Exponential Distribution."
